Matisse, an exhibition of more than a dozen original works by one of the greatest masters of the 20th Century, is showing at the Bernard Jacobson Gallery between the 2nd June and 16th September. The exhibition, which includes paintings, works on paper, sculpture and a selection of prints, has been timed to coincide with Matisse in the Studio, an exhibition at the Royal Academy of Art opening in August.
The exhibition includes Matisse’s iconic work ‘L’artiste et le modèle nu’ which Jackie Wullschlager of the Financial Times described as “the trophy of Bernard Jacobson’s flamboyant selling exhibition.”
Matisse has been featured on the critical list in the Sunday Times culture section and as one of Town & Country online’s recommendations for ‘Five Colourful Exhibitions to See This Summer.’ The exhibition has also received coverage from Blouin Artinfo, the online edition of Time Out and the print publication, the Mayfair Times.
The estimated total circulation of this coverage has exceeded 3.5 million.
