On 26th May 2017, Acanthus Asymmetrically, an exhibition by acclaimed British Artist Alison Wilding, opened at Offer Waterman Gallery. The exhibition includes 12 new and recent sculptures alongside a selection of works on paper and prints.

Wilding’s work is held in numerous public collections worldwide and has been shown at the Serpentine Gallery, MoMA NY, and in three survey exhibitions at the Tate, including a retrospective at Tate Liverpool in 1991.

Commenting on the exhibition The Week stated that it “showcases an artist committed to blending modernist simplicity with traditional, sometimes ancient, craft.” And further: “It’s hard to define quite how, but there’s something intrinsically, and delightfully British about Wilding’s work.”

The Acanthus Asymmetrically was chosen by Town and Country Online as one of their ‘Five Sculpture Shows to see this Spring.’ The exhibition has also been featured in the online publication,About Time and the print magazine, Antiques Trade Gazette.
