Offer Waterman will celebrate the opening of their new Mayfair gallery with a specially curated exhibition of works on paper by one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century, David Hockney.
The exhibition has been produced in collaboration with Paul Kasmin Gallery, New York and will include over 50 works, both for sale and on loan from international private collections. Offering an overview of a period which saw Hockney established internationally as one of the leading artists of his generation, the exhibition will take us on a journey from 1961, when Hockney was studying at the Royal College of Art, through to the late 70s with still-lives and intimate portraits of friends including Peter Schlesinger, Celia Birtwell, John Kasmin, W.H. Auden and Mark Glazebrook.
David Hockney, Early Drawings will run from 25th September until 23rd October 2015 at Offer Waterman, before travelling to the Paul Kasmin Gallery, New York where the exhibition will run from 5th November until 1st December 2015.
